There are in excess of 65 golf courses within one hour's reach of St Andrews.  The most well known are, of course, the links courses in St Andrews including the world famous Old Course. Information can be found on their website, including information on advance booking and how to enter the ballot for play on the Old Course. Details of all Fife's courses can be found at www.fifegolf.com. (See also the attractions page on this website). Just over half an hour's drive is another British Open venue - Carnoustie.

Many  of our B&Bs are able to assist you with golf reservations or advice. Some offer special off-season breaks between  late Autumn and early Spring.
