St Andrews is one of the most historic places in Scotland with many important sites open to visitors, including St Andrews Cathedral, St Rule’s Tower, St Leonard’s Chapel and St Andrews Castle.

As well as being a place with a rich historical backdrop, there are many other more contemporary attractions to keep every visitor amused.

The St Andrews Aquarium, Craigtoun Country Park and St Andrews Botanic Garden are only a few of the local attractions providing family fun.

Recognised worldwide as the ‘Home of Golf’, St Andrews is a popular tourist destination which offers much more than golf alone.

A charming, picturesque royal burgh, the town is a place steeped in history, retaining many important historical sites and preserving the medieval layout of its town centre. An intricate network of streets and lanes around the University, ancient Cathedral and Castle invites exploration.
